Student Allegedly Shoots Teen In Class At School

Police Arrest Alleged Student Shooter
OXNARD, Calif. (CBS) ― A student was arrested Tuesday after allegedly shooting another male student, 15, while in class at an Oxnard school.

Officer Tom Payn said the shooting occurred around 8:30 a.m. in the vicinity of E.O. Green Junior High School.

Payn said the school was locked down and parents were being contacted about the incident.

According to police, the victim was taken to Saint John's Regional Medical Center and is listed in critical condition, but that hospital officials report his condition is improving.
